What the name means
In Scripture, light is revelation, direction and life; darkness is ignorance, danger and death — Jesus is all light in one.
Following Him is walking behind light in motion — you see the next step by stepping.
The world's darkness cannot extinguish Him; the promise is not that darkness ends but that you never walk IN it.
How to pray this name
- Pray it in fog and confusion: 'Light of the World, shine on my next step.'
- Let His light shine through you — you are now the lamp on the stand.
Light of the World, shine on my path and through me to others — I will walk while it is light. In the Mighty Name of Jesus! Amen.
