What the name means
The first Adam was a living being; the Last Adam is a life-giving spirit — He does not merely live; He makes alive.
In Adam all die; in Christ all shall be made alive — you inherit death or life depending on which Adam you belong to.
The Last Adam is also the Second Man (1 Cor 15:47) — the first man from dust, the second from heaven.
