God does not merely rule His people — He delights in them. The Bridegroom name reveals a love that sings over His bride.
What the name means
Jesus called Himself the Bridegroom in the Gospels — the fasting would end because the wedding had begun.
The Bridegroom rejoices: He does not merely tolerate you — He sings, delights and celebrates over you.
The whole Bible ends with a wedding: the Bridegroom returns for His bride, and the celebration has no end.
How to pray this name
- Pray it over feelings of unworthiness: 'Bridegroom, You rejoice over me.'
- Pray it for the church — the Bride being made ready for the Day.
Bridegroom Jesus, You rejoice over me as a bridegroom over His bride. Make me ready for the wedding. In the Mighty Name of Jesus! Amen.
