Zechariah 9:9
Zechariah promised a King who would come righteous, victorious and lowly — riding a donkey, not a warhorse. Jesus fulfilled it on Palm Sunday.
What the name means
This King is righteous and victorious but also lowly — His strength is not diminished by His humility.
He comes to Zion — the King arrives at the city that will crown Him with thorns before it crowns Him with glory.
To welcome this King is to rejoice greatly and shout — not with fear but with gladness.
How to pray this name
- Pray: 'King, I welcome You with joy — reign in me.'
- Pray it over your life — every area needs a King, not a consultant.
King, righteous and lowly, I welcome You with joy. Reign over every room of my life. In the Mighty Name of Jesus! Amen.
