1 Corinthians 3:11
Paul tells the Corinthians there is one foundation and it is already laid — Christ Himself. You build on Him or you build on sand.
What the name means
The foundation is not your doctrine about Christ but Christ Himself — the Person, not the theory.
What you build matters (gold, silver, costly stones vs. wood, hay, straw) — but where you build matters more.
The storm in Matthew 7 tests foundations, not feelings: the house on the rock stands because of what is underneath.
How to pray this name
- Pray: 'Foundation, I build my life on You — search what is underneath me.'
- Pray it for every new beginning: start on Christ, not on enthusiasm.
Foundation, Jesus Christ, I build on You alone. Make me sure underneath so that what I build will stand. In the Mighty Name of Jesus! Amen.
