What the name means
Firstborn means preeminence: Christ is not created first but ranked first — heir of all creation.
He is firstborn from the dead (Col 1:18) — the first to rise never to die again, guaranteeing our resurrection.
He is firstborn among many brothers (Rom 8:29) — His resurrection begins a family of which He is the eldest.
How to pray this name
- Pray: 'Firstborn over all, take the highest place in my life.'
- Pray it over death and fear — the Firstborn from the dead has gone before you.
