Apostle means 'sent one.' Jesus is not merely a messenger — He is the Message embodied, sent from the Father's heart to ours.
What the name means
An apostle carries the full authority of the sender. To receive Jesus is to receive the One who sent Him.
He said, 'As the Father has sent me, I am sending you' — His apostleship becomes our mission.
Fix your thoughts here, Hebrews says: when confused, look at the Sent One and remember you are not unguided.
How to pray this name
- Pray: 'Sent One, I fix my thoughts on You — lead me where the Father sends.'
- Ask what He is sending you into this week — apostleship is for every believer.
Apostle Jesus, the One the Father sent, fix my gaze on You. Send me as You were sent. In the Mighty Name of Jesus! Amen.
