John wept because no one was worthy to open God's plan. The elder said: look — the Lion of Judah has triumphed. He is worthy.
What the name means
The Lion is also the Lamb that was slain (Rev 5:6) — He conquered by sacrifice, not by claw.
Judah was the royal tribe — Jacob prophesied the scepter would not depart from it until Shiloh comes.
The Lion's triumph qualified Him to open the scroll — only the One who suffered can unfold God's purpose for history.
How to pray this name
- Pray: 'Lion of Judah, You have triumphed — open what I cannot.'
- Pray it over sealed situations — the Lion alone can break the seals.
Lion of the Tribe of Judah, Root of David, You have triumphed. Open what is sealed in my life by Your worthiness. In the Mighty Name of Jesus! Amen.
