Logos
“Word; reason; the living Word”
“In the beginning was the Logos, and the Logos was with God, and the Logos was God.”
John 1:1
Before the light was spoken, the Word already was. Logos is the Scripture's name for Jesus — the utterance of God made flesh, and the written Word you hold is His voice on paper.
What it means
In the beginning was the Logos: the Word is not an echo of God but God, present before creation, active in creation.
The same Word that framed the worlds frames a life surrendered at the altar: 'born again… through the living and enduring word of God.'
When you open this Book, you are not reading about fire — you are holding the torch.
Pray the word
Living Word, speak into my life today — illuminate, correct, command, and comfort.
Let Your word dwell in me richly, sharper than any sword and sweeter than honey.
As I read, open the eyes of my heart; let the page burn until it is light on my path.
The living Word of God abides in me — a lamp to my feet and fire in my bones.
In the Mighty Name of Jesus! Amen.
