A prayer to pray
Father, before this day takes anything from me, I give it to You. Thank You for mercy that was waiting at my bedside before I woke. Thank You for breath I did not have to ask for. I lay down my plans, my worry and my agenda, and I ask for Yours instead. Order my steps. Guard my mouth. Give me eyes for the person no one else will notice today. Where I must work, give me strength; where I must wait, give me patience; where I must decide, give me wisdom that is not my own. Keep my going out and my coming in, and keep those I love under the shadow of Your wing. Let this day end with my heart still burning. In the Mighty Name of Jesus! Amen.

You do not need an hour. Read one verse from the first section, pray the morning prayer, and speak one declaration aloud on your way out. Consistency beats length.
Anchor it to something you already do
Attach it to the kettle, the commute, or the first cup of coffee. An altar that has a fixed place is an altar that keeps burning.
