Healing Scriptures: Verses to Pray Over Body, Mind and Heart
“But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed.”
Isaiah 53:5
Healing is not a favour God is reluctant to give; it is a covenant He bound Himself to keep. These scriptures are gathered by need — the body that aches, the mind that will not rest, the heart that still carries the wound, and the household waiting for mercy. Read them slowly. Say them out loud. Let the Word do in you what medicine cannot reach.
Healing scriptures for the body
For pain that has a name and pain that does not. Pray these over the part of your body that is asking for mercy.

For grief, betrayal, and the memory that still bleeds. God does not hurry the brokenhearted; He stays with them.

A prayer to pray
Father, You are the Lord who heals. I bring this body, this mind, this heart before You — not as a stranger begging, but as a child standing on covenant. You said by His wounds I am healed, and I refuse to argue with Your Word. Let Your healing rise like the morning sun over every place that aches. Where medicine reaches, bless it; where it cannot reach, come Yourself. Silence every voice of fear, still every racing thought, and bind up every wound the years have left open. Restore what the locusts have eaten. Let strength return to these bones and gladness return to this soul. I receive Your healing now, fully, and I will tell of it. In the Mighty Name of Jesus! Amen.

How to pray these scriptures
Pray them out loud
Healing scriptures work differently when they leave your mouth. Faith comes by hearing — and the first person who needs to hear you is you. Read each verse aloud, then say it again in the first person: 'By His wounds I am healed.'
Take one section a day
Rather than racing through all forty verses, take one section each morning for four days, then begin again. Repetition is not unbelief — it is how the Word takes root.
Lay your hand where it hurts
As you pray, place your hand on the part of your body that needs mercy, or on a photograph of the one you are praying for. Let the prayer be embodied, not abstract.
