March 28th
Pour Out Your Heart
Listen to this devotional
Opening · Section 1 of 11
“Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.”
Mark 11:24Read full chapter →
Awakening begins with the dead thing inside you agreeing to live. Lazarus did not argue with the command; he simply came forth. March is the month to stop negotiating with your grave clothes and start walking toward the voice that calls you out.
Resurrection power is not a metaphor for the believer — it is your daily inheritance. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead makes His home in you. Whatever has been dormant is being summoned now.
There is a quiet violence to obedience. It disrupts the way you have always done things; it interrupts your appetite, your schedule, your comfort. But everything you have ever wanted from God is on the other side of a yes you have been postponing. The altar is not a place of loss; it is the place where what is small is exchanged for what is eternal.
Then go and be a door. Somebody near you is looking for evidence that God is real and kind. You do not have to be impressive; you have to be present. Let your patience preach, your generosity testify, and your peace ask the question that your words can later answer.
The Prayer
Pray it slowly, out loud, movement by movement
1. Adoration
Father, You are worthy of praise before the answer comes. Your goodness is not decided by my circumstances, and Your faithfulness is not on trial in my waiting. You are good in the valley and good on the mountain, and You do not change between them.
2. Confession
Forgive me for praise that has been conditional and worship that has been transactional. I have too often loved Your hand more than Your face. Teach me a devotion that survives disappointment.
3. Petition
Give me faith to bless Your name before I see the outcome, and trust to rest in Your heart when I cannot trace Your hand. Let my praise be loud in the dark and my faith be fragrant in the delay.
4. Consecration
I offer You the sacrifice of thanksgiving today, whatever this day brings. My worship is not for sale to my circumstances. In the Mighty Name of Jesus! Amen.
