He Restoreth My Soul
Listen to this devotional
Opening · Section 1 of 11
“Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.”
Proverbs 4:23Read full chapter →
Spring does not apologise for arriving late. It comes in its own time, and so does your awakening. Do not despise the slow thaw; beneath the surface, life is already pushing upward.
Awaken to your identity before you awaken to your assignment. Sons and daughters do not earn their place; they simply rise and receive. Today, let your name be spoken over you again.
There is always a wilderness between the promise and the fulfilment. Israel was not delayed by accident; they were being formed. The wilderness strips the illusions, exposes the appetites, and teaches a people how to live on daily bread. If you are in that in-between place, you have not been abandoned — you are being prepared.
Carry one line from today's scripture with you like a stone in your pocket. Repeat it while you wait, while you work, while you worry. By evening, let it have become part of how you think. Renewal of the mind is not a mystical event; it is repetition surrendered to the Spirit.
The Prayer
Pray it slowly, out loud, movement by movement
1. Adoration
Lord, You are the God who writes straight with crooked lines. You have taken failures and made them foundations, delays and made them deliverances, and grief and made it ground for glory. I worship the Author of redemption.
2. Confession
I confess the shame I have kept hidden and the story I have been ashamed to tell. I have hidden from the very grace that was sent to heal me. Today I bring the whole record into the light.
3. Petition
Let Your mercy meet my mess and Your grace rewrite my story. Heal the memory, silence the accuser, and turn the very thing the enemy meant for evil into a testimony that sets other people free.
4. Consecration
I am a new creation; help me live like one today — unashamed, unhidden and unafraid. In the Mighty Name of Jesus! Amen.
