Strength Out of Weakness
Listen to this devotional
Opening · Section 1 of 11
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
Psalm 119:105Read full chapter →
The morning you have been praying for is already on its way. Some of you have been in a long night — of grief, of waiting, of feeling unseen. Hear it clearly: weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning.
Arise and shine, for your light has come. Awakening is not something you manufacture; it is something you make room for. Open the curtains of your heart and let the dawn land.
Do not measure your walk with God by how you feel this morning. Feelings are weather; covenant is climate. There will be days when the fire feels far away and the heavens feel like brass. On those days, do not renegotiate the truth — rehearse it. Preach to your own soul until your soul remembers who it belongs to.
Whatever this day holds, you are not walking into it alone or unarmed. You go with the word of God in your mouth, the Spirit of God in your chest, the blood of Jesus over your life and the intercession of Christ at the right hand of the Father. That is not a hopeful thought — that is your legal standing.
The Prayer
Pray it slowly, out loud, movement by movement
1. Adoration
Father of light, You see what I cannot see and You have already been where I am going. Nothing surprises You, nothing overwhelms You, and nothing has ever fallen outside Your governing hand.
2. Confession
I repent of the timidity that has disguised itself as wisdom, and the silence that has disguised itself as humility. I have shrunk back where You called me to stand. I have kept my testimony private to keep my life comfortable.
3. Petition
Give me eyes to see what You see and courage to do what You say. Break the fear of man off my life. Let me speak the truth in love, give without calculating, and step out before all the evidence is in.
4. Consecration
I will not shrink back, I will not settle, and I will not be silent about Your goodness. Send me, and I will go. In the Mighty Name of Jesus! Amen.
