March 12th
A Heart of Flesh
Listen to this devotional
Opening · Section 1 of 11
“For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken.”
Psalm 62:1-2Read full chapter →
Awakening begins with the dead thing inside you agreeing to live. Lazarus did not argue with the command; he simply came forth. March is the month to stop negotiating with your grave clothes and start walking toward the voice that calls you out.
Resurrection power is not a metaphor for the believer — it is your daily inheritance. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead makes His home in you. Whatever has been dormant is being summoned now.
The Christian life is not a sprint of dramatic moments but a long accumulation of faithful ones. What you do quietly today — the prayer nobody hears, the forgiveness nobody applauds, the integrity nobody audits — is the substance that a lifetime of fruit is built from. Small and daily is how God builds things that last.
Watch what God does with a surrendered day. You will not always feel the shift, but the atmosphere around a yielded life changes. People will feel it before they can name it. Ask the Holy Spirit for one divine appointment today, and then be brave enough to keep it when it comes.
The Prayer
Pray it slowly, out loud, movement by movement
1. Adoration
Father, You are my portion and my cup. You hold my inheritance and secure my boundary lines. In a world of shifting ground, You are the inheritance that cannot be devalued, seized or lost.
2. Confession
I confess the anxiety I have rehearsed and the worst-case futures I have written without consulting You. I have worried as though I were an orphan. Forgive my forgetfulness of Your record.
3. Petition
Guard my mind with the peace that surpasses understanding. Provide for the need I have named and the need I have not yet seen. Steady my hands, quiet my nights, and strengthen my faith for the wait.
4. Consecration
I rest in Your faithfulness and I rise in Your strength. My times are in Your hands, and Your hands are good. In the Mighty Name of Jesus! Amen.
