Opening · Section 1 of 11

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

Matthew 5:6Read full chapter

There is a language God speaks that only the still can hear. It is the language of peace that passes understanding, of comfort that the comfortable never receive, of direction that comes not by striving but by surrender.

Learn to be quiet before Him and you will learn to be bold before everything else. The authority of your outward life is forged in the stillness of your inward life.

Do not measure your walk with God by how you feel this morning. Feelings are weather; covenant is climate. There will be days when the fire feels far away and the heavens feel like brass. On those days, do not renegotiate the truth — rehearse it. Preach to your own soul until your soul remembers who it belongs to.

Whatever this day holds, you are not walking into it alone or unarmed. You go with the word of God in your mouth, the Spirit of God in your chest, the blood of Jesus over your life and the intercession of Christ at the right hand of the Father. That is not a hopeful thought — that is your legal standing.

The Prayer

Pray it slowly, out loud, movement by movement

1. Adoration

Father of light, You see what I cannot see and You have already been where I am going. Nothing surprises You, nothing overwhelms You, and nothing has ever fallen outside Your governing hand.

2. Confession

I repent of the timidity that has disguised itself as wisdom, and the silence that has disguised itself as humility. I have shrunk back where You called me to stand. I have kept my testimony private to keep my life comfortable.

3. Petition

Give me eyes to see what You see and courage to do what You say. Break the fear of man off my life. Let me speak the truth in love, give without calculating, and step out before all the evidence is in.

4. Consecration

I will not shrink back, I will not settle, and I will not be silent about Your goodness. Send me, and I will go. In the Mighty Name of Jesus! Amen.
